Position Summary Information

General Description of Position

You are invited to join our fast-paced team in our Medical Coding & Billing program. Selected person(s) will be responsible for the implementation, management and teaching of the curriculum to enable students to become an AAPC Certified Medical Coder. We are seeking individual(s) with vision and drive to help prepare our students for successful careers in the field of Medical Coding & Billing. Adjunct MBC Instructors teach on a term by term basis within the set curriculum of the program and tailor materials or each class to our students’ learning abilities. Instructors will prepare the students to take the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) test.

Our faculty is made up of professionals that have a high energy level and ability to engage students; have excellent presentation skills; learn our practice and strategies quickly; receive and respond to ongoing training, development, and feedback; mentor and help guide students of all levels to achieve their best; and find gratification in playing a key role in the students’ success.

Minimum Qualifications

2 to 5 years related work experience in Medical Billing and/or Coding; Current CPC certification; Currently or recently working in the Medical Coding field

Preferred Qualifications

An associate degree in Health Care Administration, Health Information Management, or related field. Preferred candidate has CPCI (instructor) certification.
